Molossian Naval Infantry Uniforms
The Republic of Molossia was founded on May 26th, 1977. Despite being a landlocked nation, its armed forces contain both the Molossian Navy and a sub-component, the Molossian Naval Infantry. However, the Molossian Naval Infantry is the only force with documented uniforms according to an identifiable common scheme. There are two uniforms which we have identified and designated as 'Type 1 MNL', traditional sailor whites, and 'Type 2 MNL', a khaki and black field uniform.
Type 1 MNL
This order of dress is composed of:
- Tally bandless white duck cap
- White sailor blouse with blue and white striped collar
- Black belt with open gold buckle, ammunition pouch
- (Supporting/ceremonial?) shoulder sash
- Black Trousers
- Black Lace-Up Boots

Type 2 MNL
This order of dress is composed of:
- Khaki Pith Helmet with Black Plume
- Khaki Shirt
- Black belt with open gold buckle, ammunition pouch
- (Supporting/ceremonial?) shoulder sash
- Black Trousers
- Black Lace-Up Boots
Equipment
Molossian Naval Infantrymen are armed with the Enfield Pattern 1853 rifle-musket used by the British Empire from 1853 to 1867. They are also issued a corresponding British Pattern 1853 3-Band Enfield Socket Bayonet although no bayonet sheath is spotted on their belts. It appears that the same belt and sash are worn with both Type 1 and Type 2 MNL uniforms.
